BGMS Alliance is is a non-profit, volunteer organization that is an affiliate of the Butte-Glenn Medical Society. Our membership consists of physician spouses, physicians, domestic partners, physicians-in-training, and family/friends of medicine.
BGMSA was founded over 75 years ago, on November 9, 1937. The focus of the Alliance is to serve as community advocates to promote health education, sponsor and raise funds for local health programs and scholarships. Additionally, we provide health care education and encouragement to the underprivileged population, giving them the tools they need to be advocates for their own health.
We are a small group of women, but during the last ten years we have:
•Sponsored multiple deserving scholarships in the local health care field.
•Hosted an annual community Blood Drive.
•Organized a Children's Health Fair that promotes healthy eating and being active.
•Supported local artists and designers with our Art of Dining Benefit Gala.
In the midst of fundraising and charitable work, we find the blessing of mutual friendship and camaraderie and support during difficult times in our lives. We become best friends uniting in the cause of promoting quality physical and mental health in our community.
THE ALLIANCE FOCUS
